I will use this journal for legitimate things! Such as seeking advice and tips! WOO HOO! And to start, here's my first question.
I have a few ideas for new projects, one of which is to make silhouettes of figures and draw around them. Would it take away from the image if I used a photo figure and trace around the form? Also, I've taken quite a few life drawing classes, but still have yet to determine if looking at a figure in a photo and drawing it is bad practice. It's not to say that I lack the creativity to try and create these images on my own, but I'm curious if "tracing" is good practice for familiarity of the form and face of a human model?
Any advice is welcome!
AND HI THERE! I'll be uploading at least once a week now!
edit: I TOTALLY SPELLED JORNAL INSTEAD OF JOURNAL BUT LOOK HOW I MADE THIS COMMENT ABOUT IT BUT NEVER CORRECTED IT! OH! IM SOOOO AWESOME!

Practice is one of many ways to seek perfection, but the road there's more than a lifetime of travel.
